I have been trying to catch up on LO's for this year....so when the holidays come...I wont be too far behind.

Homemade Scrapbook Paper

I was playing around today...and made up some pattern paper with my daughter's high school colors on it. I really like how it turned out. I made these to go in her school album. When I get some more time....I will play around and try to create some more.

These were created in a word document...and then printed out on white cardstock...but you can use colored cardstock....or plain paper if you wanted!!

I used the Quickutz Archivers Star border on this LO. The additional stars are the popped out ones from the opened stars on the border. I used the Quickutz alpha called Aquarius.

On this LO...I used the Quickutz popcorn,popcorn tub, and arrow die cuts. The font is called Chemistry....also by Quickutz.

This is a card I made for my father-in-law....his birthday was yesterday. I used white core cardstock and sanded the edges for the distressed look. The sentiment was actually from cardstock stickers about little boys....but it worked great!!

I wasnt inspired with this weeks sketch to create a LO...but it did spark a world of ideas for some cards. I plan on creating some 'just in case' cards....to keep on hand. Here are the ones I came up with today!!

This weeks sketch used only one 4x4 picture.....which I have never done. I was able to put these pages together in less than an hour each. I can see this sketch getting used several times!

Kase's 6th Birthday

This was Kase's birthday in May. At first I was a little reluctant to scrap these pictures because I didnt want to just use cardstock....and I couldnt find PP with the transformer theme locally..and I wasnt ordering 1 page from online. Even finding stickers with transformers on them was a dead end.....so I just sat down with all my birthday stickers....and this was the result. I LOVE IT!!

This week has been crazy...but I managed to get out 1 page this week....its about Keith. He planted his first garden this year...and it actually was a success.....LOL

Here is a card Kaitlyn made for a Kaitlyn in Minnesota that has a brain tumor. We are showing her with Hugs and Smiles......I decided to let Kaitlyn make one too...and here it is!! Isnt it just too cute???

I completed 4 pages...2 double LO's using this weeks sketch. Both of these LO's are from 2009....all I have now is Kase's b-day...and I am once again caught up for the year....YEAH!!

One HOT Mama

This is my MOM!! She is 55 and rides a harley motorcycle....LOL!! Since Mother's Day just passed and I am 450 miles away....and missing her....I decided to scrap about her. This is one of my favorite pictures of her. So happy, healthy and carefree!!

I made this card for a sweet little 7 year old in Minnesota......to help make her smile. I used the QK pinwheel as a flower. I really like the results!

NSD~Scrapyland Virtual Crop

Today is National Scrapbooking Day. I have been doing alot outside....but managed to squeeze in a few LO's!!

Completed 24 Pages at Scrapfest!!

I was able to maintain my concentration....despite the great smelling food....and being surrounded by just about anything related to scrapbooking...and I completed 24 pages!! Some of these took merely 20 minutes...while others...more like 2 hours. Some had more involved in the process...and some I just couldnt find the focus of where I wanted to go with it....LOL!!

Getting Ready for Scrapfest

Scrapfest is tomorrow thru Saturday from 9Am till Midnight. I will be attending all three days!! I am meeting some ladies there.....and one owns a scrapbook store.....YEAH!!

These are some pages I completed yesterday and today. I have been sorting thru scrap supplies trying to get ready...and I ran across these papers....and with some creative thinking....these LO's came together in about an hour!!

These photos were taking of the kids in Jan 2008 when we were in Texas. I dont think I have scrapped professional photos before...but I do like how these turned out!!

Blox #9 Scrapbook LO's

{for those who didnt know...a blox is a sketch....Scrapyland posts a new one weely}

I love the sketch for this week!! It is AWESOME! I was able to complete 4 pages....and 3 are this years scrapping....YEAHHHHHHHH!!! The intial page was 8 1/2 by 11 and then I placed that page on a 12x12...pretty easy concept dont-cha think??

The first one is Coby with Keith's guitar! Coby's eyes light up when his daddy gets out the guitar and plays music for him. He has really developed a liking to it. On this day....he woulnt let Keith have the guitar back...they were actually fighting over it....LOL!! In Keith's family....playing musical instruments can be traced back as far as his great-grandpa Willy. There has always been musical talent in the Ford family!!

Second is Coby and Katie.....a girl from daycare. Coby loves Katie.....he plays with her everyday....they even hold hands while they are playing. It is sooo cute! I bought this puppy for Coby to give her at the Valentine's party the daycare was having. When you ask Coby about his day....he always says....'my girlfriend Katie is at my school' !!!

Last is LO about the newest additions to our 'farm'. Keith bought these at the auction barn last Saturday. He wanted something to help keep the grass down in his chicken pens. They are still a little bit young....so they have to be bottle feed everyday....and they kids love to be the ones to hold the bottles!! They always come up to you....and wag their tails....it is the cutest thing!!
