Practical Nursing Class of 2008 Scrapbook

This is the school scrapbook that I made for my nursing class. I decided to keep it simple and let the pictures tell the story. I enjoyed this project!!

Breast Cancer Awareness

I made these cards for a friend who owns Remembering Moments in Petal, MS. She will be taking these cards to the local cancer center in Hattisburg to give out. I really enjoyed making these cards.....I got to use my new border punch.....which I love by the way..!!!

Scrapfest September 2008

I went to a 3 day scrap convention over the weekend. It was great!! A nice little break from work,house cleaning, kids, and the hubby....LOL I completed 15 pages!! I couldnt stop shopping!! There were so many new products out from CHA...that I just had to touch and drool over!!

New Years Eve

This was New Year's Eve of 2007.....I was in Texas at my friends house. There was lots of food,drinks, and a bon fire at dark!! I used Stardust as the font....I really like this cursive font!! It goes well with Marissa mini that I used to write the date!!!

Re-Doing Older LO's....well sort of!

These were some pages that I did for my oldest daughter's scrapbook....but I didnt do too many of them....so I decided to transform them to 12x12 and add them to the others that I did. I didnt want to change the look because it shows how my style has evolved....but I did add a little cardstock to the baby shower one....and some more water drops to the swimming one.

I have the scrappin bug.......

I have been creating LO's every night now for the past several days. It used to take me over a day to just do one LO...but the past few months...I have let go of the 'need' to be perfect....and just scrap the loads of pictures that I have!! It really does feel good to accomplish a LO...because I know that when I show my kids (now and years to come)...they will enjoy it too!!

Remember When Design Team Entry

The online store where I buy QK from....is having an open call for design team members. I like the idea of being on a design team....but I could use the challenge to scrap every month. I have seen other entries...and I am up against some really talented scrappers!!

Some Recent Projects to Share

I couldnt sleep last night...so after I cleaned I decided to scrap a little. I had started a few LO's but still needed to add titles and such. I completed Kaitlyn's First Day of Kindergarten. I bought the BH school scrapbook kits for each of the 'school' type stuff....but this page will go in the yearly scrapbook.

I also completed a LO of when I went to Scrapfest in 2006....I still have Feb 2008 Scrapfest pics to scrap...and I will be going again in Sept....I better get busy....LOL

As I clean I have started collecting scrapbook supplies in a box that I know I will never use and I hope to donate them to a worthy cause!!!

Scrappin for the KIDS

I was cleaning up my scrap area last night...and the kids were really acting out....so I decided to make some things for them. I had an old receipt book that was going to the trash so I let Kaitlyn pick the paper and we altered the cover....so now she has an 'order book' for when she is playing kitchen!!!

I didnt have another receipt book....so I altered a little note pad for him....of course it wasnt the same....so I will have to go buy some more receipt pads so each one will have one.....!!

Now she wants menus and signs for her kitchen......OH WHAT HAVE I DONE......lol!!!

Louisiana LO for Exchange Student

I had a friend on a MB ask if we all could come together and make pages of the states and countries around the world for Yuting, a foreign exchange student that will be staying with her for the school year. I chose to do Louisiana.....here is my finished page. I cant wait to see the completed book!!

Here we go again.....

I entered the contest. I would love to win...but just getting some pics from this year scrapped is a BIG plus....so its a win win for me...right??

I joined the QK club with ScrapyLand.....already had joined Remember When's club.....so now my obsession with QK will become a little less expensive....LOL :)

Being Productive........

I have been finishing up the school scrapbook. I decided to add a few more LO's....just for fun. There were lots of pics I didnt scrap so I just added them in photo collages in the back. This actually constitutes my very FIRST completed album......:)

I got an email from Scrapfest (the local one in Mandeville) and they are holding a LO contest...the winner gets a free pass to Scrapfest.....I have to try....if I win.....thats more money to spend on scrap supplies....LOL!!

I must have been bitten by the scrapping bug....because I have been scrapping everynight!! Don't get me wrong....I love it....its just that I usually get side tracked or I am too tired to pull everything out. I am still working on Chelsea's baby book. I am up to 2 months/first Easter....so that is going well!!

Scrapbookers Club House Guest Designer Entry

Well I decided to enter my first contest to be a guest designer on Scrapbookers Club House. The challenge was to make a summer LO using 4 shades of brown. I dont normally make LO's using brown...but this challenge really got my creative juices flowing!!

Welcome to my Scrap Blog

Welcome ya'll!! I started this blog as a place where I can share my projects with family and friends....and those who just may be interested in my work. :) Now..... a little about me.....my name is Cathy and I have been scrapping for about 3 years... full time. I had started back in 1999 but really didnt go far with it.....due to life getting in the way. I since had 3 other children and wanted to preserve their childhood along with my feelings and emotions on being their mother. I consider myself a simple scrapper...though I will try anything at least once. I dont think I have a set 'scrapping style' .....I just start with pictures and when it feels right... I am finished. I usually can do a layout within a few hours....though with 4 kids....sometimes its days before I can go back to a work in progress layout.

I want to thank my family and friends for their support and encouragement while I persue my love for scrapbooking!!!
